Distiller's Notes: The highly anticipated Springbank Local Barley - our first general-release Local Barley bottling since 2001. Springbank Local Barley is one of the most iconic Springbank expressions ever produced and we are delighted to announce the new 16 year old bottling, the first in a series of five expressions to be released over five years. As mentioned, the new bottling is 16 years old and was distilled from barley grown at Low Machrimore Farm in Southend, a few miles outside of Campbeltown. It has been bottled at 54.3% with only 9,000 bottles available for worldwide distribution.

Tasting Notes: Sweet and rounded palette with a very subtle peat influence combining with butter tablet, soft fruit and mineral notes. A long evolving finish with notes reminiscent of our earthy dunnage warehouses. The peat is slightly more prominent and integrates well with lighter notes of candy and lemon zest.
