Wine Enthusiast: 92 Points “Thick red fruit becomes approachable on the palate in this stylish, focused and full-bodied wine from the coast. Big powerful waves of tannin and pomegranate, cherry and cola are met by nuanced aspects of spice and earth, the finish explosive.
Winemakers: “This wine has deep ruby red color in the glass. Aromas of cherry blossom and sweet, dark blueberries lead onto a dense, creamy palate with hints of ripe black fruit and seductive oak. This is a fruit-driven, hedonistic, approachable Pinot Noir.”
“Grape clusters were hand-picked in the cool of the night, then hand-sorted at the winery. We gently de-stemmed the grapes using only whole, intact berries for fermentation. After extended cold soak, the grapes entered fermentation for 14 to 19 days, then the free-run wine was drained to French oak barrels where the wine aged for 9 months.”
100% Pinot Noir harvested from September 6 to October 5, 2017 and bottled August 10, 2018.
