With no vines, no cellar and not a lot of money, Francois Dauvergne and Jean-Francois Ranvier have created a winery! During rich professional experiences within some of France’s most important wine production companies, they developed strong relationships with grape growers and producers. “Vin Rare” is a range of their wines produced in smaller quantities from smaller yields, these wines are concentrations of their prospective terroirs.
The Wine Advocate - "A blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah that’s aged all in concrete, the 2012 Vacqueyras Grand Vin has outstanding potential. Offering up plenty of spice, incenses, crushed flowers, mulberry and ripe raspberry, this medium-bodied, upfront effort has solid mid-palate depth and superb overall balance. Drink it over the coming decade. Score: 88-90"
