Wine Enthusiast: 90 Points “New wood aromas are still strongly evident in this young and fruity wine. It has ripe tannins, a juicy character and attractive, forward fruitiness. The aftertaste has delicious acidity and freshness.”
This Château in historic Lalonde-de-Pomerol is an invitation to travel through time. In the 12th century, the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem established a hospice here to care for crusaders and pilgrims. Cabernet Franc vines were planted on the estate to provide wine for mass. Time is still a willing accomplice today, allowing the wine to fully develop elegance and body.
The red wine blend at this Right Bank estate is 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Winemaker’s Notes: A nice and shimmering robe with golden brown reflections. A delicate bouquet of mixed gingerbread and candied fruit. Very delicate in the mouth with magnificent balance, silky silky with subtle woody notes. Ready to drink now, this red Bordeaux will reach its full potential around 2019-2021.
