Wonderfully soft on entry, with a silky mouth feel and well-balanced with flavors of cooked blue agave, tropical fruit, vanilla, toffee, cinnamon spice, fennel and black pepper. Agave, fruit, vanilla and toffee flavors linger in the mouth, and this fine tequila finishes soft with the right amount of heat.
Chamucos Tequila was originally imagined in 1992 by Oscar-nominated Mexican film director Antonio Urrutia and his close friend Cesar Hernandez, a hand-blown glass bottle artist. Interested in creating his own tequila, Mark Howard saw a bottle while visiting Cesar’s glass factory. The three collaborated on this recipe, guided by renowned Master Distiller, Ing. Hector Davalos.
The three friends originally produced Chamucos Tequila as Reposado only, so this is the original.
