Distilled at Ben Nevis Distillery in 1996 and aged more than 24 years in a single hogshead, yielding a total of 177 bottles. Bottled at 48.8% alc. An effusive, exotic nose with a palate overflowing with creamy, fruity and zesty flavors, this 24 year-old vintage Ben Nevis offers a striking array of sensory experiences in every sip.
Nose: Overarching sense of cherry and cranberry chocolate brownies just out of the oven, then scattered pine needles on a forest floor followed by the headiness of a new leather satchel and the succulence of fresh slices of mandarin.
Palate: Reminiscent of ripe, juicy peaches is complemented by the creaminess of butterscotch candies; fruity-yet-creamy character continues with heaps of strawberries and freshly whipped cream drizzled with indulgent raspberry coulis.
Finish: Just a touch of ripe kiwi leads to a squeeze of lime juice and grated ginger.
