The Snowden Family Winery is now in the 4th generation of Napa Valley grape-growers. Current winemaker is Diana Snowden Seysses. She was formerly oenologist at Domain Dujac in Burgundy and is married to Jeremy Seysses, co-proprietor of that prestigious estate. They share their year between these two amazing properties. With an acute focus on producing Bordeaux blends, Snowden continues in the Old World tradition, while captivating the richness rooted deep in Napa Valley. The wine is all estate fruit: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, aged in French oak barrels 50% new for 18 months. Remarkably elegant and complex with breathtaking layers that continue to evolve with time, this wine has a sophisticated, mature air about it.

Wine Advocate: 89 Points- “It reveals licorice and black currant characteristics as well as a deeper, denser mouthfeel, medium body. The soft, precious, upfront endearing style is very much a part of this vintage.”

Antonio Galloni- vinousmedia.com: 93 Points- “Another gorgeous wine, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve has more depth than the Ranch bottling, partly because Cabernet Franc takes the place of Merlot as a supporting component. Sweet red cherries and spices ring out on a refined, textured finish that leaves a lasting impression.”
